NO BUDGE - NO LIE
I had the privilege of naming the shade “ vintage suede” and let me tell you - they named these “no budge” shadow sticks for a reason. I forgot I had makeup on and rubbed my eye and I paused midway thinking about what I just did, and to my surprise- it was still there! You can use them as a smudge proof liner too! Thank me later!

The color though....
First off, great formula and price. It's does last all day and doesn't create on me. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was the pictures of the colors and the color I got. I looked at the pics and choose vintage suede, it looks like it would be a nice crease or all over the lid colors. And it looked warmer the then the other brownish color. I got it and was like what the heck. It looks like a light murky beige , I swatched in the back of my hand and it looked darker. I was like ok I put in my lid and it looked just like it does in the tube , I put in my crease and blended out and it looked gray. It is a awful color for my warm olive green undertone. Maybe it will work on other undertones. I tossed it out , and don't want to buy anymore because of the color discrepancy.

Nice colour but just found it a bit difficult to apply. Had to keep going over to see the colour.

Great formula but……..
I just received this in the mail and I was shocked when I saw the color. I ordered the vintage suede and it looks nothing like the color as advertised. It was a murky, dark golden shade, and nothing like the taupe-ish shade as pictured. I couldn’t believe how ugly the color was and I was unaware there were no returns allowed.. I probably would have really loved it if it was a decent color.

PLEASE make more shades
I love this shadow sticks. They are great to use alone or for an eyeshadow primer. I wish they had some lighter tones, like a cream color and cool tones pink or taupe. A cool toned off white would be nice too. I have a few shades, including the mint one from the mint collection that came out a few years ago. I love to use these as shadow primer, but would love more color options. These stay on so well! I do not have oily lids, and I only apply a hyaluronic essence to my eye area before using these, instead of an eye cream. I went to order some lighter shades in the pearlescent shades of the No-Budge shadow sticks, but I was put off by the reviews saying some were falling out of the tube or too dry. Elf, please make these in more shades.

I really wanted to like these!
I am a big fan of shadow sticks, and I'm in love with a brand that charges me $25 each -- yikes! E.L.F. is my go to for inexpensive yet quality dupes, so naturally, I had to try these. They are definitely "no budge," but to the point that I find them very difficult to apply. My fave brand is very creamy and just glides on beautifully; these felt like I was working with crayons. I always use a lid primer, and I gave the E.L.F. Lock -It--Down primer a try (loved it!) to see if that changed things, but alas, no. I'm in my 50's, and I need something that goes on without excessive tugging at the delicate skin around my eyes.

Cool Beans!
I really like this colour. It's a nice brown shade that I've been using as a liner. It goes on smooth and blends well -- lasts all day. True to the name it does not budge!

Colour is different.
When it claims to be budge proof then it definitely is. I was somply put off by Vintage Suede because online it looks more brown… for me it is more on the yellow side and doesn’t really look great on my skin tone.

Bombshell is Lovely
It's a really nice shadow stick, it blends and wears well. However, the thrift store shade is a horrible, yellow colour.

This sounds like wax separation which should not affect the product, however if you are unsure, please return to Target, or contact customer care through our contact us page for further assistance.

Pull the lid off. It takes a lot of effort at first (is very stiff/feels stuck), but after a few goes it loosens up a bit.
