Eyeshadow primer is essential

The day I found my eye low tube of elf eyeshadow primer it changed everything. Now onto face primers but it is so easy to set your eyeshadow with primer. A great black eyeliner with the sharpener on the liner. I’ll never find the perfect mascara. The kohl eyeliner has changed. I need a stick that some companies have to go under my eye to fix all that. It’s out there uts just so expensive. This xpstuff fits right in with more expensive brands but holds its own. Keep it coming. I love clrpop anspd wet and wild has some really nice stuff. So does hard candy. It’s all about the eyes

unfortunately, I ordered this March 6th, and still have not received it??? I would love to rate it when, and if, it arrives.

What happened to The Shadow lock?

I don't understand why you companies can't just leave well enough alone. The Shadow Lock primer worked excellent and was also great for keeping makeup on the bridge of my nose when wearing glasses. So, I bought this thinking you had just wisened up to change the tube but instead it's incredibly oily and sticky after "drying" them applying powder. I'm not sure what you thought you were doing here going from something that was more like a paste to this but I'm disappointed in yet another product some company decided needed a revamp when it didn't.

Yikes! Soooo bad

I miss the old product too. It had a little tint and dried down to a very slight and light tacky texture that eyeshadow could glide over easily! This stuff is oily and you HAVE to use your finger to spread it out and it ends up a patch, sticky mess! Please bring back to OG formula. I threw this one in the trash it was so bad.

Bring Shadow Lock Primer Back Please!

The Shadow lock primer was the absolutely the only thing that worked on my oily lids. It wouldn't crease or fade at all throughout the day. This new one gives me creasing as soon as I leave the house. So disappointing.

Very Disappointed

I loved the old Elf eyeshadow primer! I not only used it for my eyelids, but it did a great job on my bridge to even out the redness without having to wear many or heavy products. This new version is terrible!! It's very oily putting it on. It has no tint what-so-ever and you can't visibly tell you're wearing it. Oh, but you can feel it! It's heavy, sticky, and leaves a sheen I do not like. I hate the way it feels on my skin and it actually started to burn after having it on for about 15 minutes. To top it off, it doesn't even work a fraction as well as the old formula for longevity of eyeshadow. What a waste of money and time as I now have to remove it and redo my makeup for the day. Very disappointed!!! Why does Elf keep changing the products we love? I get that there is always room for improvement... then offer a second type of the product and market it as completely sheer or whatever... but leave the original formula alone!!

Terrific product unbeatable price

I have used urban decay, milani, essence, etc. but I have to say this ELF eye primer gives them all a run for the money. It is a very light & sheer product but does a fantastic job! It doesn't take much. It will feel watery going on so don't over apply. I pat in with my finger & 30 seconds it's ready. Holds my eyeshadow for the whole night with no fallout. Very easy to blend shadows with this. Highly recommend. I came back for another! I'm 54 with hooded eyes so I'm picky with my eye products. I can see this working on any skin type. Works well with powder or liquid shadows combined.

Eyeshadow all day !!!

This stuff is amazing!!!! I put my makeup on at 5am and it eyes still look amazing when I take makeup off at 8pm
