Navigating The Shades

Whether you're going for that just-got-back-from-vacay glow or a snatched contour, Camo Liquid Bronzer & Contour has you covered with a variety of 10 different shades to choose from. Always choose a shade that’s 1-3 shades deeper than your complexion and depending on the level of definition you’re going for. The shades are versatile enough to work for both bronzing and contouring, giving you the freedom to customize your look.

What Does Liquid Bronzer and Contour Do?

If you’re not adding the Camo Liquid Bronzer and Contour to your makeup routine, are you even snatched? With its versatile shade range, blendability, and buildable coverage, it’s a no-brainer. It’s beginner-friendly but also gives you pro-level results, making it perfect for everyone. Plus, it plays well with all your other e.l.f. faves, so your makeup game stays strong—what’s not to love? Bronzing and contouring are important steps in your makeup routine for several reasons:

  • Sculpting: Contouring helps define and enhance your facial structure, creating the illusion of more pronounced cheekbones, a slimmer nose, or a more chiseled jawline.

  • Dimension: Both bronzing and contouring add depth and dimension to your face, preventing it from looking flat or one-dimensional.

  • Warmth: Bronzing adds a sun-kissed glow to your complexion, giving you a healthy, radiant look.

Remember, the key to great bronzing and contouring is blending for a natural, e.l.f.ing fabulous finish.

Where to Apply Bronzer and Contour

Ready to slay that bronzed look?

When applying bronzer, we recommend dabbing 1-2 dots on the hollows of your cheeks, forehead, sides of your nose, and jawline. Don’t forget to grab the duo brush—the sculpted end is your go-to for precise application with tapping motions, while the fluffy end is all about blending it out in circular motions. We recommend starting with a small amount and building up if you want a more sun-kissed, tan look.

When applying contour, some common areas include the hairline, jawline, cheekbones, and nose. We recommend starting with 1-2 dots and building up to your desired sun-kissed look. Contour focuses on shading the parts of the face that you want to appear slimmer or more defined, while bronzer focuses on adding an overall warmth and glow to the face.

Can You Use the Same Product for Bronzer and Contour?

Yes! You can use the same makeup product for both bronzer and contour. Bronzer and contour hybrids usually come in a variety of shades to get both a bronzed and contoured affect. Unsure which shades are meant to bronze and which are meant to contour when it comes to the e.l.f. Camo Liquid Bronzer and Contour? We got you!

One thing to remember when choosing your desired shades is that contour shades tend to be cool-toned to mimic shadows, and are usually on the matte side. On the other hand, bronzers tend to be warm-toned and may come shimmery or matte.

When choosing a shade for a more contoured look, we recommend opting for these shades: fair, fair/light, light, light/medium. When choosing a shade for a more bronzed look, we recommend opting for these shades: medium, tan, tan/deep, deep, deep/rich, and rich.
