Love It
I've been using this brush for a couple months now. I love that the top is flat because it helps me really carve out my cheekbones. I can see why some people could have a hard time blending with it, but I always contour before I powder my face so that solves the blending issue.

Nice quality but not ideal for all-over contouring
I've been trying to find a really good all purpose contouring brush for cheeks, nose, and jawline. I had seen reviews on YouTube and blogs that the Ultimate Kabuki Brush was a little too wide for chiseling contour on the face so when the Contouring Brush was released I was hoping it would be a touch more narrow. However, its too narrow. It's hard to blend out and soften your contour with this brush. The dimensions of the brush head itself are 1/2" Deep and 2 1/2" Wide. Not bad along the sides of the nose but terrible for the cheeks and jawline. If you have a very small face and features then you just might love this but for my average face and features this brush is very ineffective. It IS very soft and seems better quality than some of their other brushes. Some of the e.l.f. brushes can be a little scruffy and scratchy but these new white tipped bristles are incredibly soft; they seem to be a combo between the sparser stippling bristles and their denser bristles so you have a really nice in-between density that works great for a number of different purposes (I also have the Ultimate Blending Brush with these same type of bristles and density). As far as contouring goes I've had the best result with e.l.f.'s Angled Blush Brush; it fits perfectly in the hollows of my cheeks and along my jawline. It is a touch too big for along the sides of my nose but I can make it work by just lightly stippling my contour color where I want it. The Angled Blush Brush also blends and softens nicely. It's a much better all in one brush for contouring.

ABSOLUTELY MY FAV ONE
Gonna hold ur hand when I say it sis, I bought this brush 8 years ago, I don’t know if they changed the materials or not, but trust me this is one of the best brushes out there. It’s still going great, I usually use it to blend better. It has an amazing quality, I can’t go anywhere without it. Also this was my first makeup brush that I own if I remember corectly. Unfortunately elf doesn’t have a site for my country anymore but I’m willing to try order even if it’s not gonna come easy. U could never go wrong with elf, its affordable and it’s absolutely worth it.

Multi use brush
I wasn't sure about this when I purchased due to the fact I didn't know the first thing about contour. But I have found many uses where I really enjoy this little brush.

Great brush
A lovely brush, very versatile and gives a lovely application. I live the cut of the brush as it’s very different to others I’ve had.

Is this brush also good for highlighting?
TheOnlyGuyFromSephora
I do use this brush for highlighting, and love it. However, I completely understand where the other answer above is coming from too. When I highlight with this, I strictly use powder products, and am highlighting in the literal/basic sense that you might also use a lighter concealer for(which I do under THIS step I'm speaking of) . Just press this brush intimate the pan of the desired highlight shade and use like a "full coverage press-type" brush. Last thing is..I've found it easiest using pressed powders.

What's the difference between this brush and the Contouring Kabuki Brush (both from ELF)? Which would be easier for beginners of contouring to use?
Hallie9396
Using a small tapered brush may be easier for you if you're a beginner. This brush would be easier than the contouring Kabuki brush but it's dense so might deposit too much color until you get good with it. Going for a less dense tapered brush that is small may work best for you then blend the lines with a denser brush.
