JOJOBA OIL FAQS

Jojoba oil (pronounced “ho-ho-ba”) is made from the chinensis plant which is a drought-resistant shrub native to Arizona, California, and Mexico. It has been used since the 1400s as a folklore remedy for it skin healing properties. Its makeup is similar to that of our own sebum (our skin’s natural oil) and it can hydrate, condition and balance your skin without clogging your pores.
Jojoba oil has a natural form of vitamin E in it and is a moisturizing humectant (ingredient that attracts water to the skin). Jojoba oil helps keep the skin calm and comfortable. Jojoba oil also helps to soothe dry or chafed skin.
Jojoba oil does not lighten the skin. However, because jojoba oil is moisturizing, it is often used in various products (including skin brighteners) as a soothing hydrator. Use of jojoba oil separate from skin brightening or lightening ingredients will not lighten the skin.
Jojoba oil will not clog your pores. Its makeup is similar to that of your own skin’s sebum (natural oil) making it less likely to build up on your skin and clog your pores.
