I like the buildable color
I think negative reviews are from customers who are not using the product correctly. Yes, makeup often comes with instructions. Here's how to use Holy Strokes Micro-Fine Brow Pencil: 1. Hold the eyebrow pen upside down for 15 seconds and shake well to saturate the tip. 2. Flick the brow pen upward to create thin strokes, and apply more pressure for deeper pigment. 3. My one issue with elf is that it's really hard to try to pick out a shade whether it be a foundation or brow product. I chose neutral Brown because it looked like it would fit me, but it is super light. Please refer to the photo down below. I wish that elf would have an exchange program because they don't let you return or get refunds for items that you can't match yourself. I guess I'll have to purchase a darker color. It's kind of a waste of money. I guess that's how elf became a billion dollar company by pulling stunts like this. But when you get a good product and a good match, it is a good thing. I've been shopping at elf since 2014.

Ugh! It was ok for the forst week
Thai was great, one week of use. Then the dye spills oit everywhere! And the cap won't stay on! I put it on and it pops off. Now it's dry! Idk if it's $7 it would work. And the tip breaks and you don't get a fine line. Pass on this!

So much better than the Ultra Precise Brow Pencil!
I am so surprised at the number of bad reviews citing "light pigment" and "can't see the strokes very well" when it's literally marketed as "buildable". I am very pale with very dark brown (but not black) hair and eyebrows and this product in shade Espresso works amazingly! And YES I have to build with additional strokes to achieve the opacity and fullness that I want. Exactly as the product description indicates. I also love that there are more shade options than the Ultra Precise Brow Pencil, because the darkest "brunette" shade over there is literally red and looks odd even after blending out.

It’s the best if you know how to use it!
This is THE best brow pen if you know how brow pens are supposed to be used. HANDS DOWN. You can’t beat the price point, it’s extremely long wearing (16h+, easily), and its only downside is that it might not be user friendly or intuitive to use. But for me, personally, it’s been an absolute game changer in my routine. I own two cafes, so I’m running around all day and getting my face steamed often. It lasts trough all of that AND gym session after work. I love the soft look I can achieve with it, and the more bold fiercely-defined looks. Versatile and so good for the price!

Reformulate please!
This is the worst brow pen I’ve ever used. You need to reformulate and repackage this and re-release it. Please. I know elf is capable of making this great. And btw, where’s the foundation stick I want? Can you work on that, too.

Never work - totally dried out!
I bought this Holy Strokes Micro-Fine Brow Pen a couple of months ago and it arrived completed dried out. No matter how often, or how hard, I shook the pen, turned in upside down, wet it first, the product just wouldn't come out. Total failure!

Holy Strokes Micro-fine Brow Pen
Excellent!! Excellent shade match, and looks natural when applied! It's easy to apply, and if you shake it up, it's easy to use. I'm re-purchasing this eyebrow pen for the second time, and between the great job it does, and the reasonable price that it is, it has become a holy grail for me!! It says it's waterproof, and that's what it is!! It stays on even if I sweat, until I take off my make-up!

So bad it's gone from the "big reviews" site
I tried this so many times because I liked the color and I love brow pens. I shook it more. I shook it right-side up. I shook it up-side down. Nothing made this work consistently or well. Either the pigment wouldn't come through at all or it blotched. Plus, it was impossible to fix. It wouldn't blend out and trying to remove it messed up anything around it. No wonder they don't want the reviews to come up if you search for this.

No pigment and poor match
I don’t usually write reviews but this product was so disappointing I couldn’t ignore it. My entire makeup routine is filled with elf products and i’ve been eagerly waiting to get this product for weeks now. However, no pigment comes out whatsoever. I followed the directions and let it sit down for 15 seconds and then shook for like 2 minutes straight with no product. I then passed it to my boyfriend and my sister and made them each shake for 3 minutes each and then FINALLY there was pigment. I chose the shade neutral brown and it was light enough to use on blonde brows. I usually use the elf eyebrow pencil and gel in this shade and based on the photos online I assumed this would be the same shade to use, boy was I wrong. The pen is also very small and thin which just makes it feel like a dollar store product. I really wanted to love this product but unfortunately this was a rare miss from the elf team. Hoping they’ll revamp the formula and rerelease.
