In LOVE.

Okay, I am so excited to finally have this product. It's so great that elf is finally offering skin care products and I am over the moon to have this! I am so impressed with the packaging, for starters. Even the box it came in was gorgeous! The color is a nice light blue and looks great on my vanity. Bonus points for the pump, as well. It's very mess-free. But, I'm not so sure that this could really be classified as a serum. It's more of a light refreshing moisturizer. Most serums that I've used have been very gel-like and clear, but this is just a thin lotion. Which is fine, because it works very well. The texture is smooth and lightweight and sinks in perfectly. I am very fair with reddish cheeks. This serum definitely tones down the redness in my face and creates a smooth canvas for my makeup. Also, there is NO added fragrance or other potential irritants, which I LOVE. Very natural feeling and it doesn't sting at all. And because it's so light on the skin, I think all skin types could use it! It's a great pick-me-up too. As soon as I put it on in the morning I feel so refreshed and awake. It brightens my face and adds a suddle sheen. The only gripe I have is that it's a tad expensive. I'm not saying $12 is a lot of money, but for the size and ingredients it should be from $8-$10. But that's just my opinion. Overall, this is a great product and I highly recommend it! Well done elf.

Bad Reaction

Before applying the product on my face I tested it on the back of my hand to make sure it did not irritate my skin. The product absorbed into my skin very well with no irritation. The following night I applied the product gently over my face along with the Illuminating Eye Cream and went to bed. My skin felt fine until I woke up the next morning and noticed these strange bumps all over my cheeks, chin and forehead. Although it does appear to be a mild reaction, my skin feels very itchy and bumpy. My advice: do not purchase if you have sensitive skin or allergies.
