- Prep your skin: Start with a clean and moisturized face..
- Prime: Apply your primer to prep skin and help extend the wear of your makeup.
- Choose your shade: Select the concealer shade that matches your skin tone. If you're unsure, you can try our Virtual Try On or Shade Finder.
- Apply and blend: Swipe or dot concealer onto desired areas, then blend using your fingertips or the Tap & Blend Concealer Brush. Gradually build up to your preferred coverage level. Pair with Soft Glam Satin Foundation.
- Finish your look: Apply contour/bronzer, blush and setting/finishing powder to complete your look.
- Pro-Tip: Select a lighter shade to brighten under-eyes, deeper shade to contour/sculpt or match your skin-tone to conceal.
What's the best way to apply concealer under my eyes so it doesn't settle into fine lines?
In order to minimize creases and concealer settling into fine lines, swipe concealer onto the back of your hand and use the Tap & Blend Concealer Brush to work the formula into the brush. Next, apply concealer with the brush in thin layers on areas of concern, tapping out all creases before moving on to the next step of your makeup routine. To help even more, you can use Halo Glow Setting Powder with the Powder Puff to apply powder over your concealer.
How long should I wait after applying concealer before blending it for the best finish?
You should immediately blend out your liquid concealer upon application to ensure that you have an even, satin-y finish.
How can I brighten my under-eye area? Should I use a color-corrector?
In order to visibly brighten your under-eye area with concealer, you can dot Soft Glam Brightening Corrector onto the under-eye area and blend out. The Brightening Corrector will color-correct and help to reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. Next, swipe and blend Soft Glam Satin Concealer over the Brightening Corrector for a wide-awake look.
How do I choose the right concealer shade for my skin tone and undertone?
In order to select the concealer shade that matches your skin tone, you can try our Virtual Try On or Shade Finder tools to pick one of the 36 shades suited for various skin tones. To help narrow down the options, consider which shade family you might be in, which could be fair, light, medium, tan, deep or rich. Next, you’ll want to consider your undertones by looking at the veins in your wrist. If they appear greenish, you've got warm undertones, if they lean towards blue, cool undertones are in play, but if they look like a mix of both green and blue, then most likely you fall within the neutral category. Once you have determined your shade family and undertone, you will be able to choose the best suited shade for your complexion.
